Jond - don't convert currencies $100 is $100. If you are going to do it I'd say $100 = £100 when you take in to account the much lower wages over here compared to the UK.

Happy hour at the Ocean Reef Sea Sports Club it's $16 for a bottle of bubbly and a pint. That's not too bad.

They've got it at the Internation Beer Shop for $148 a carton. But seeing you're not in Perth you'd have to add freight :(

Ah yes, Wilson "Iron Bar" Tuckey. So named because he used to enforce his own brand of bush justice in Carnarvon WA (where he owned a pub) with a short length of steel cable.

Oh dear, sounds dodgy. I have mixed memories of Cairns, the good times shagging swedish backpackers and the bad times having my mighty Suzuki DR600 which I'd ridden from Perth stolen and trashed.

I'm just looking at the www.realestate.com.au for Cairns and am flabbergasted at what you can get for the same money as the badly built, legoland nightmares here in Perth.

Perth's too expensive, I'll never afford a house here. Second most expensive city after Sydney with the lowest wages bar Hobart. Perth...

PBs got it wrong, it's $526 for an ambulance journey (only 5km in our case). I also spend over $100 a month on medicine my family's needs.

Give me the NHS over the joke that is Medicare any day.

I remember PB tipping Jindalee too, but then again you could have tipped the shed next to the sewerage works and would have still got it right. For now.
