It has to be said that when my daughter became a Canadian lawyer, and married a Canadian lawyer, who is the son of a Canadian lawyer, we mourned her.

I find it hard to see how a child would identify "lawyer" as an interesting occupation. I can see how people, such as Almost Canadian or my daughter, identify it as a possible line of work after...

Mine had her mate's ticket for sailing ships and seemed happy being a DJ in Alaska. All very exotic. Her switch to lawyering seemed inspired by playing too much Visage.
