we both have senior citizens cards that give the 20% discount and e joy the facility in restaurents and expensive coffee shops. I am not supposed to have one but it was given so enjoy it .

pra visas have no connection to your pension. The Philippines DO NOT TAX PENSIONS.

Yes the Bank does not do the exchange from the 23rd but they recommend another exchange service that they can arrange and is more efficient the say although I have had excellent service from them....

Dear Flying Welshman, yes you will pay tax on your UK gov pensions avoiding that is possible if you lose your British citizenship and become a Filipino !!! Pensions are not taxed here what so ever.

the SRRV provides a cheap visa for "returning Filipinos" and so if the lady is a Filipino with foreign nationality she can enter under this ruling for a small cost of about $300. We did it this way...

If your Filipino wife has a foreign passport she can join the SRRV as a "returning Filiipino" for something like 300$. This sum stays in the bank as a bond and there is no annual fee.
