Those are sterling falls. If you look at prices in the UK in A$ then the have fallen far more around 30% or more in fact that's one of the reasons London prices have not collapsed I.e. foreigners...

The UK will emerge when people have paid down their debts and feel they have money to spend again. I expect there will be a new generation wanting to buy houses etc who will find a new economic...

Retail spending was poor over the Christmas period and RBS are sacking 3500 people. Everything is proceeding as I expected and have banked on.

I don't want to waste my highest earning years in Sydney where salaries are crap. For the record I can afford to move back but if I wait another 5 years I get to live there on my terms.

Thank god I work in banking. I fancy a pay rise even though I don't need one. I can feel that house in mosman getting closer all the time.

I've been getting into gold and cash (AUD,GBP and BRL) but plan to buy more stocks next time the markets have a panic which I am pretty sure isn't too far away.

I think that once Greece has defaulted and been pushed out of the Euro the markets will turn on Protugal or Spain and which ever of these two are next the other will follow.

I'm just glad I sold my shares and my AUD to buy gold. It's been a good week and with an asking price offer on my place from a cash buyer after only 4 days on the market I'm a happy very happy...

Yes and Mervin King said a couple of days ago that interest rates will be low until employment starts to rise and the economy starts to grow more robustly. He also mentioned QE3.

I see where you've gone wrong. You forgot to use the mythical 2.2 exchange rate that makes Australian cost of living OK. It's a schoolboy mistake that I made earlier in the thread or another...
