The time I spend on paperwork in the U.S. is at least twice as much as the UK. If you have employees/operations in multiple states, then it is certainly more onerous. In my case I have filings in...

There is more paperwork setting up a business in the U.S., as there is both Federal and State paperwork, principally around taxes. It's not 'harder', just more time consuming.
