Vernacular? Doesn't makes sense but nevertheless no individual nations can change the date of the vernal equinox. The vernal equinox is a solar event I.e. A matter of fact. So yes changing the date...

NO IT DOESN't. Only the stupid Aussies start the seasons on the first of the month rather than the Eve of the equinox so there's still 21 days to go.

It is very wet windy and cold 16.9C but with wind chill is about 6C in the Hunter Valley.
