Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

That requires a huge fine, maybe a bit of jail time/house arrest.

Really think there ideally needs to be some sort of register between cooperating countries - I.e the pcr test done in France is...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

Yea - last year quarantine had to paid for by the employer I believe.

It's whether they come under exemptions etc at all to do similar to last year, or have to go into government quarantine for...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

With any of this if its done properly its a huge plus and I'm for it - just got to hope "private security" do things properly and doesn't end up being power hungry and abusing idiots enforcing it...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

For those coming to settle as PRs I sort of think it may sift those coming with no job and no plan out, whilst keeping those with a job lined up/plans on investing etc still coming (something which...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

As already has been said, the cost and the mandatory quarantine (along with the whole ban on trips to Sun destinations till April) is largely in place to help stop non essential travel. Much like the...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

Agreed, but currently don't believe apart from quarantine/lack of flights there is anything to stop Canadians going on holiday to non US destinations. As destination countries begin to open up (as...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

I think if he does so, repatriation etc and non discretionary travel will be allowed in my opinion - of course as has happened so far with inbound travel, there are no real limits to how often...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

Its not just that, imagine you get a faulty, or a fraudulent negative test prior to getting on the plane (aside from people selling fake falses, sending someone else for a test if you think you might...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

My main concern is around whether we have end up having a vaccine based top trumps - one would hope reciprocal agreements stop all that (although the same agreement could potentially disrupt travel...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

At border crossings do you ever ask "Are you an active member of x forum?" then just deny them entry??

It's pretty full of suggestions of how to soft land currently. Given the posts on there I...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

Whats typically happening is people are finding ways to make sure they get to the UK by 4am, which sort of defies the point - that country is high risk, so we are going to force a large number of...

That's US/Canada border - International air travel restrictions for Canada run until 31st of this month.

I fully expect them to be extended another month as opening up to the rest of the world...
