I think he may mean AED30000 per month as 30,000USD equates to AED110000 PM which is way too high

My better half is being offered a role in a different gov sector. The Manager ( he knows him from the UK) told him be prepared to wait a year ( 6-9 months for offer letter) then 3 months security...

Government organisations are slow to recruit. The recruitment agency should be providing with you with feedback, however what you should be asking said recruiter is whether you have been shortlisted...
