That's probably what it is.

You always want them to give you a written total figure on the car before discussing how it'll be paid for.

If you have outside finance or pay cash, definitely don't...

Dark will get hot, but it's really having a dark interior that will make the biggest difference.

Black steering wheel is almost untouchable if parked in the sun compared to a cream coloured one.

Some colours are easier to sell than others and resell than others.

They're great if you're planning on keeping the car till you scrap it or hand it on to your kids.

Not great if you plan on trading it in in a few years time as they depreciate pretty harshly.

As for getting quotes, you are speaking to people right? Not using the online tool? That won't give you a real number because it won't take into account...

That's true, except higher end cars...but the real saving is in the insurance.

And on a side note, another thing against leases for anyone who lives in a ding happy state if the small print...

And depending on the state, second hand too....which is why it's worth finding out what the lemon laws are.

In MA, they're actually pretty decent for anything with less than 65K on the clock...

That's going to really boil down to budget and mileage.

Sounds like you'll be driving a lot, so that'll rule the lease out.

You know what kind of cars you want already. It's a case of sorting the deal and the money and a final test run because even if you went to the dealers now, you aren't going to learn anything that...

Do it all online then....find what you want, get them to price it, forward details to other dealers.

Call the top couple that you like and say this is the deals I've got and what I want and have...

Depending on location...VW can be a lot more costly to maintain if anything were to go wrong. Saying that, if you're buying new and the warranty is good, it becomes less of a issue..

Maintenance as a factor?

Depends if you're getting new or not. Local market could affect cost quite a bit. If it's a US car, most garages will work on it no problem, if it's an import you might...
