Depends on the insurance though, also usually want to actually find a doctor you like who is accepting patients than be sick and having to take the only dickhead doctor accepting patients at that...

Any recommendations from neighbours or colleagues?

Use the home and work zip code, depending on where you'd prefer the doctor/dentist and see which ones are taking on new patients?
