Don't rent furniture, it'll be cheaper to buy off craigslist and yard sales and getting the stuff like beds from a proper place than renting...the white goods like a washer/dryer might be worth...

Depends....as with everything.

Most tend to be unfurnished except holiday home type places or corporate apartments. They also tend to be a lot more expensive.

It's only a couple of states, ME and Texas being a couple of them, I'm pretty sure MA wasn't one of them if you've got certain visa's, student visa would be okay to use UK license though.
