It costs a mint to live here.

You'll both need to work.

It takes a year to even begin to adjust to the culture and being so far from home.

Childcare/nursery fees will take a huge chunk of...

We've just taken a bunch on but those were primarily for specialist posts. As Baz said (Hi Baz) you have the advantage of being a resident shortly. I would wait until you get here and pursue it then....

There aren't any current recruitment drives. The best thing to do is fill an application form in and it will be kept on file until any future recruitment campaigns.

During my interview, i was advised that any cops going over would be steered towards the more desirable areas which means higher rents of course. I need to be sure my wife feels safe when I'm at work...

Medical today apart from x-ray £115 😣. X-ray will be £90 😣. CRO check £45 😣. Replacement education certificate £38 😣. Better get some overtime done 🤤.

Hmmm...I was under the impression that all paperwork would have to be sent before a formal offer was made. The medical side of it costs a mint :blink:. As least it can be claimed back.......hopefully!

Skype interview last night. Competency based very similar to UK interviews. Chief Supt, Chief Insp and HR officer. No low bowlers at all. Find out 7 - 10 days.
