The plan would be to sell the UK property and have the equity in our bank .

Our mortgage is in both mine and my wife's names.... What issues foes this cause ?

In response to the occupation I am an air conditioning /heating ventilation engineer. I trained in the states and am fairly confident I wouldn't have trouble finding a job.

In terms of the equity...
