Allow it to lapse in the short term...we'd likely renew it eventually, but just was not in a hurry to do so prior to emigrating.

The post was really to see if BA or airlines in general checked...

Thanks. Normally I wouldn't care, but the website does state that validity is required for the duration of the "trip". I have a zillion and one things to sort before we go, but might just add his UK...
