I think a short-term solution would be to obtain an International Drivers Permit which would be legitimate with your US License. In California AAA issues the IDP "passport". It's US$20....

Not according to this (posted above). A tourist visa is sufficient.

My reading of this is that they are not saying that Malaysian Drivers Licenses already issued are invalid. They are saying that they are no longer ISSUING them through CONVERSION. Essentially one...
