It must be related to the transitional arrangements. On my case the last 6 years can be paid up until 2023. thus by 2022 some would have been 10 years earlier

I am in similar situation. I paid Class 3 when I was abroad, and while working my understanding being abroad couldn't pay Class 2. I am curious how kust working abroad can add qualifying years ?

If you have qualified for 26 years, and make 6 years of back-payments yes that is 32 years, But since it says you have until 2029 to pay, are they not simply including in forecast future years that...

Also the offices I visited including local county office all have such new and modern décor, equipment, furniture. What a difference from the Midwest region

Isnt Oregon the state that doesn't permit people to pump petrol at the petrol stations ?

Maybe send letter to yourself, one with just site address, another more specific and see what happens.

Also, if one just starts making payments does DWP automatically apply to oldest year one can make payments on ?

I paid before Class 3 and didn't pay attention to Class 2, but looking at website if one does any sort of self-employment or consulting seems one should pay Class 2.
