Absolutely. My Japanese mate bought me a spray thingy for malt vinegar, so that the chips enjoyed a fine vinegar spray before the gentle salt dusting.

Some dipstick broke the spray thingy a while...

I can well imagine that. When asked in the chippy "salt and vinegar with that?" I had to be quite firm with the "just on the chips please". ;)

+1 for the mustard; a delicate Dijon-esque, rather than the all-annihilating Colmans would seem appropriate.

Some spring onion could bring the Stilton on nicely, those pickled bastards tend to...
