You should take a look a Google streetview, I suspect you will not find that green suburb if comparing to Hertfordshire. You cannot compare Hertfordshire to Toronto, bit like comparing your home town...

I hope you have tons of equity in your property in the UK as not sure if you have checked out detached house prices in Toronto/GTA.
