There's also a lot of hazardous materials (engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, fuel, battery, gas from the aircon) in a car that nowadays have to be removed and disposed of before it can be put...

IMO. If it's not a desirable car, probably best to cut your losses and scrap it now.
