Thanks timmyf, since I posted my message I have also read that 100 gypsies homes were burnt down by the locals in Martos in 1988!! Quite dramatic it seems to me, which really leaves me wondering......

I have heard gypsies can be noisy neighbours. I have considered Martos as a place to buy a house in, but in what areas of the town would I be least likely to have them living next door to me?
