I actually wasn't as thrilled as I thought I would be. 14 months of waiting has sucked a bit of my optimism.

It ruined a lot of my plans and I had lost a lot of money because of it....

Mate, you and I are in almost in the same situation.

Except I'm still dual-citizen. My father and mother are both British but I was born in the Philippines.

I've applied on the 10th of April 2014. They have asked my counter-signatory around July, UK-based checks were completed on October. Around November, HMPO Bangkok contacted me and asked me questions....

Those people that you speak to are merely call-centre agents from Teleperformance- subcontractors. They don't work directly for HMPO.

Just so you know, I have been waiting for 11 months. Though I have an interview lined-up this coming Tuesday.

Have patience. Four months is still around the 'standard timeline' for passports.
