Does not matter what thread it is, if States are discussed, the top tier Suburbs are always thrown in as ammo once the debate gets going.

If 20klm beach to heart of CBD is too far, then yep...

Suburb discussions end up wth lists of beautiful suburbs, leafy, inner city, bayside etc.

Plenty of suburbs mentioned with 3million plus for an average house, which probably isnt much use to...

Dont worry. You just feel at home where your family are. If they all moved to New York, Peru or Birmingham you would happily settle there.

As for melb or sydney.

Sydney, the inner city landmarks bit is surprisingly small, you could see the lot in a morning. Looks good, quality not quantity. Yes it has lots of beautiful beach...

Yep and it will probably go a couple hundred thousand over the erm 'guide' price. Have yet to go to an auction in melb that did not go at between 135 and 342 over the asking price.

Stupid money...
