re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

In the original application forms, we included all the details of her Spanish citizenship as a secondary nationality (where it asks for other nationalities). We set her primary as Brazilian as her...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Well that's the confusing bit. She's Spanish/Brazilian. It mentions in the letter that she's from a country that requires a visa. However, when we arrived in Canada she showed her Spanish passport...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Thanks Andrewbrit. Regarding the spreadsheet update, they've asked for original passports, not scans. Any idea why?

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Hi,
We just received the same request from CIC for photos and passports to send to Ottawa for the finalization of my wife's application.
Quick question, it asks for photos/passports for all...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

We got the same message. The date mentioned was the one asking for new photos, which we sent. So I'm confident it's just that.

Hi,
We are now 'in process' (not sure when exactly as I last checked a week ago).

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Hi All,

Just to update our situation, we arrived in Calgary July 15, my wife under dual intent. We had no problems with immigration upon arrival and the officer gave her a one year visa, more than...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

I'm also wondering if she enters with her Spanish passport, they stamp it with 6 months visitor then London asks for her Brazilian passport for her COPR and it has no stamp even though we're in...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Thanks for that. I seems to recall we put Brazil for that as that's where she was born. We did police certs for both countries and the UK. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Does anyone have any experience with applicants who have dual nationality? My wife (applicant) has Spanish & Brazilian citizenship (and passports). CIC is aware of both. What confuses me somewhat is...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

I'm flying with them as well, but when I checked one-way it worked out being more, or nearly the same, as we made our return for the middle of October, which made that part of the flight quite cheap.

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Good luck with your trip!
I guess the lot of us will be going over with dual intent as well. What else is there to do? The last thing anyone wants to do is move to Canada in the middle of winter.

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

If it makes you feel any better, we're in the exact same boat (app received Oct. 24/2014 still in app received status).
We've sold as well and are flying to Canada July 10. We've accepted my wife...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

I did fill out the IMM0008 for our baby, who like yours is Canadian by descent and paid the $150. When I got the AOR, it mentioned that I was applying to sponsor my wife and daughter, which of...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

It's pretty hard to imagine Canadian passport control causing you problems with a baby in your arms if you don't have the certificate or passport, but you might as well avoid any unnecessary hassle....

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

I don't know if anyone has replied to you on this yet... It's my understanding that your baby will need some proof of Canadian citizenship when he/she arrives with you in Canada. Apply now for the...
