BakedBean: Unless you have remaining commitments in UK, is there not now a way to have your pension paid abroad? I remember seeing something on the HMRC site..??..

Pretty poor service I would say..regardless of which bank. It's also a problem regarding insurers..I recently needed to make a minor change to a policy and got the Spanish Inquisition in return. And...

Just ignore. A bank will always send you a letter by post.
Same if they say they are from your regular bank, Microsoft or Google..they are 99.9% fake calls.
