Forgive my naivety...why would she need a countersignature, if it is straightforward renewal? Are countersignatures being asked for at random?:confused:

I used UPS Global Express...guaranteed delivery in 72 hours at a cost of $62.00...well worth it when you consider USPS is taking close to 3 weeks for delivery.

No worries...it's all so confusing sometimes..lol

I thought for sure that HMPO was going to come back at me and require a countersignature as my previous passport was issued in 1996...expired in...

If it's of any consolation....my other half has a PHd and I asked him to look over my paperwork to see if I needed a countersigner...and he said...NO
He will blow a gasket if they come back needing...

Have you already been prompted that you need a countersignature? and yes...you will have to print off and send off confirmation page after paying.

I just applied via the "new" beta online application..my passport was over 10 years expired but, it never prompted me for my family information (except for my Mother and Father's first names) beta...
