Err, although people in the UK may be as ignorant as people here, that's not been what i've experienced. People I know from the UK are much less ignorant than people from Canada that I know....

But have you considered the fact that the chinese passport is one of the worst in the world at only around 30 visa free countries! That would be a good reason to get rid of it ;)

Doubtful of that completely. The practise nowadays is countries allowing dual citizenship, not ones that currently allow it, suddenly prohibiting it. And i don't think that would benefit you at all...

Yeah but a foreign passport + proof of Canadian citizenship counts for that. At least it works at YYZ for my grandparents.

Keep in mind I will be 22-23 when I move over, not 18. Therefore having 6 years of driving experience when I move over. I have to stay here in Canada (reluctantly) to do uni, then I will be heading...

Ah yeah i'll be buying a car... So no care for public transport... I was planning on settling in Bristol or Cardiff/Swansea... Not London as it is very expensive... I remember one company mentioned...

Thank you. Is this an acceptable document to present on entry to Canada to enter as a Canadian national? Ie is it effective "proof of citizenship" at the border?
