Make sure the kettle is only about 300W, After all 30 minutes to make a cup of tea will make you appreciate it even more.
Oh and another thing if you want half decent tea bring it with you, Italy...

When we were there (2005) you could get the installation upgraded to 6KW for around 150 Euros, There was even a period when it was free.. Lekky is very expensive too, after the first 200KW the price...

As for the paint all colours under the sun are possible but the choice in types is limited, eg. don't expect to find non drip etc and decent polyurethanes were also thin on the ground the last time I...
