re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

I'm pretty sure that's in the FAQ also ;) Another few weeks before you should be concerned.

I'm in that stage now also and hoping the time will pass quickly!

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Nothing to worry about. Medicals are automatically valid for a year. If they expire they may be extended or they may request you re-do them, it depends on your particular case.

They don't...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Yeah - if you look at the spreadsheet a lot of applications are done about 6 weeks after they are 'in process'. That's what I was hoping for and came true in my case.

Some do take longer though...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Errmm... that would be me. Decision Made yesterday, applied March 2014. Granted I was slower than most, but if you look at the number of May/June applicants outstanding London appears to running...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

doctore had the same request - posted a few pages back. I sounds to me like a simple email confirming your husband hasn't been ill or travelled should suffice.

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

For those not following along on CV, there is movement from London at last. I received my Decision Made this morning in ECAS.

I hope the rest of you start to see progress soon.

For the record...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Discouraging as it may be... that sounds fairly normal. A few people who have posted had the 'due date' set a year after sponsor approval. It seems to be a default.

Whilst I wouldn't advise...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Have a look in the notes, column O. There are entries for RPRF requested.

I see you are an Ottawa applicant. I'm less familiar with he timelines as I've not be following too closely. Based on...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Yes, that's normal. If you scan through the spreadsheet you'll see other examples where it takes >6 months after the request for the permanent residency fee. They also say they will not acknowledge...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Yeah, maybe the OHIP thing but who knows. Mine also went in process the day after MP enquiry, so maybe not a co-incidence after all, but I half suspect they just change the status to shut us up...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

That is interesting. I don't remember any else reporting a similar query. Do you have a particularly exotic travel history in your past? I wonder what they are looking for.

Fingers crossed you...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

It annoys me when they say that!!!! What about all the April/May/June/July applications that are still not in process then? And yet we are supposed to believe they treat applications 'fairly'. ...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

The spreadsheet is based on the total time from when you paperwork first arrives in Mississauga (e.g first send in the application).

The officially posted times are from when London receives the...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Thanks. With any luck things will start to speed up again because presumably there are less in the pipeline now some are processed in Canada.

But a lot can happen over the course of a year so it...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Use the spreadsheet... On the first tab, the processing times for the last 20 decisions is probably the best guide.

It's currently showing little over 10 months and there are few older than that...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

I felt the same. March 2014 applicant here still waiting. It's not so much that they take that long I think, but they seem to queue up the applications. My bring forward date was a year after SA.

I'm very interested to see how this pans out. It's for a work thing...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Can you apply for OHIP with an Outland application? That sounds more like an inland thing.

I'm happy to be corrected (I know someone this would help) but I don't think it's an option.
