The fuel parts for a diesel cost more also as parts for diesel cars are heavier duty than the petrol counterparts.

The Aztek has some good reviews for getting through some really bad conditions though,and a lot cheaper to buy.
Granted it's an ugly duckling though.

It seems that it does to you mate!
The safest thing I have driven my family around in is a nice Volvo tank,much cheaper,brilliant build quality,and the safety of a Volvo in the event of a crash.
