Many people never receive an email confirming receipt of documents, it's not something to worry about (although I realise that a confirmation email is nice to get!)

Since the changes made in 2012, it's definitely more difficult and expensive to reach the ILR stage as a non-EU spouse of a British citizen and that's kept many British citizens from returning home...

I must be unusual then - I voted for Brexit, my reasons were nothing to do with immigration (I'm very pro-immigration), and I'd rather chew off my right arm than vote Conservative :lol:
