Well done. I enjoyed my time in KSA, spread over a long period in "chunks". Not for everyone. Having a good employer makes a difference.

If you had a decent employer their "fixer" would do all of this or at least help you. To me their inactivity is an alarm bell !

HB99 - your employer should be doing all that for you !

Maybe I was lucky to have competent and benevolent employers ? Saudi Arabian Airlines and then KFUPM.

For some of us, the proximity to Mecca and Medina can be a powerful attrrcation. While living in Jeddah, I had American colleagues who drove up to Mecca most Fridays.
