I am a mixed bag when it comes to where I have lived in the past - OH even more so, having lived in more countries than I have actually visited (and that's a goodly number). I shouldn't fear culture...

Would have been preferable - but after reading about the drinking habits of the youngsters, I am not so keen anymore. OH claims he can always find someone to play music with, no matter where he goes....

I haven't rented since college days, but will be glad to give up the responsibility of home maintenance. I am a little worried about stability, and having to move if an owner wants to sell or happens...

I'm with you on not owning again. We live in a sinkhole prone area of Florida, and we have seen 2 open up in the last year on our street. Every week when the OH mows the lawn he checks the foundation...
