Buy a smaller property in Ontario and a seaside flat (cheap) in Britain. You'll then be able to take extended breaks in the UK to see if you still like it.

If you are asset rich, cash poor, that would be the thing to do. And at current FX you may even be able to purchase a place in the UK with your spare change.
