Or better still contact your local Camara or the bombeiros.
It's our job and responsibility to make their lives a lot easier than it has been in recent years.

Around us according to the neighbours it was the bombeiros who demanded that land owners provide access for their vehicles in the event of fire in addition to reducing the risk.
We now have cleared...

After years the owner of the land behind us is finally cutting down the trees on our boundary..
Not just us but other neighbours pleased to see the fire risk reduced.

Deliver to your local bombeiros, they will welcome donations of water, energy drinks, protein bars etc

Most fires are started by humans, deliberately or accidentally, reducing the chances of us starting a fire must help.

We have just bought a self contained bbq, one which does not emit any sparks although it still uses charcoal because We were concerned at the sparks from Our traditional one flying off into the air....

Who owns the land planted up almost exclusiveky with Eucalyptus around the Algarve reservoirs.
I suspect that it is not small landowners but probably the local Aguas company or a ministry...

Coincidence, maybe but we have a digger on the pine plantation behind us busy removing scrub and small trees from the boundary line.
We have our fingers crossed that they will reach us and take down...
