Well we are all different, I love barbecues, folks in the UK are more obsessed with them than the Aussies, I think it's so natural and an everyway day of live over there, it doesn't really register,...

You can get great steaks here in the UK, but you will have to pay for them, the steaks in the US are the biggest and cheapest, the steaks in Australia are big and cheap, but there's still some great...

You make a fair point at last, the houses are dear, that's why I want the UK to come out of this long recession, so hopefully the exchange rate will go up and the housing market starts moving also,...

Yer right, there's been a lot of good helpful posts, a bit of tosh, but mostly good stuff, I think it's slightly dearer in Australia than the UK, IMHO. Only slightly though.

I thinks it is impossible to assess the cost of living in Australia and the UK, two different currencies, an exchange rate that is manufactured, two different inflation rates, two different pay rise...
