What I find weird is that the one EU country with the highest number of British Immergrants is in reality the only country (OK Italy as well) not to have agreed or even made arrangements for what...

Agreed. But Spain does not need unfettered access to the DVLA database.
All it should be given is a yes this person has a UK licence and we will allow you to use that information for the exchange...

Thats true, but there are lots of speed cameras around now and the DGT need the registered address of the vehicle to send it too.

I got a speeding ticket in Holland ages ago as the speed limit...

Actually I thing for Loco it means both are illegal.

The Spanish one was obtained by giving false information.
The Uk one as per a previous comment should have been returned to the UK once...

That's interesting so what in effect anyone who exchanged a UK licence while the uk was still in the EU could then make another exchange if they moved to another EU country...

I think most people will be hopeful that ALL Uk drivers will be able to exchange without test.
BUT Im erring on the side like you that residents here before 31st Dec 2020 will be able to exchange...

Why??? Spain only exchanges licences with the other 26 EU countries and 22 others, most of which have Spanish as their first language.

So that leaves 147 countries who need to take a test. Puts it...

It appears that the exchange fiasco has been finalised.



As of 28th Feb 2022 if you have a UK issued licence and haven't been able to exchange or you arrive here after that date you will need...
