Not here either. So much for cool change in the afternoon. 40 degrees at 6.30 pm here. I think those "imminent cool change" forecasts are just to stop people throwing themselves under the trams.

Nope, not nice at all. Worse is that it has been so hot here once that we both celebrated when it dropped back into the 30s... ah well, I hated Jan/Feb/march in UK and I hate Dec/Jan/Feb here.

Back into the casserole tomorrow - 39 and partial cloud, but BUT Christmas Day is supposed to be 26 and clear so that would be just grand.

About 37 here at 6.50 pm. Sunny. Mild thunder earlier and some forecast for the night. Min. 26 I think & humid.

23 at dawn today and they reckon climbing to 36 but it's still pretty cool at 0900. Hope that 36 doesn't blow across to Melbourne or they'll all be climbing into their freezers.

I laugh in the face of your weedy Melbourne temperatures. We eat 34 degrees for breakfast in Adelaide. I mock Melbournians sweating into their pillows in 24 degrees at night in November. Adelaidians...

18 here today thank God. We had a week of mid 30s last week but with high humidity as well and it got a bit much, especially at night.

Excellent! I feel a bit of a whiner complaining about the winter here which is basically four months of 12 - 18 degrees:D But it's still nice when the Jacarandas start to bud. We have roses in bloom...

We have that here also - in fact I saw a tree budding in the hills a month ago, which is our version of January.... but still cool nights, rain and (very unusual) sea fog. As you say - things only...

Wales is much wetter due to the elevation and it really does drop away quite sharply as you get into England. The only English counties that have anywhere near the same levels of rain are Cumbria and...

A bit warmer than that on average, and the average sure beats the hell out of all the nights it doesn't go under 30 and there are more than enough of them. Truly horrible!

Warm and sunny here today. Sitting with the front door open at 7pm and cool breeze coming off the ocean. Rain on the way apparently. Gotta love the weather thread - so British!
