I'm down south.
There are usually workshops around; lathes a plenty, fewer milling machines but you'll find one if you look.
Finding an English speaking machinist might be harder.

Just to update;
BP-sped picked up my machine at the seller, and delivered it to my front gate for 520 + tax.
Seller loaded it with a forklift and I unloaded with a forklift.
Machine is 1,300kg....

A company called DB Shenker was recommended to me, they quoted me a good price but not sure if they'll carry my machine.

BP-sped quoted a higher price but I decided to go with them as they use...

The difficulty with this sort of thing is you need someone big enough to have facilities to pick up, but small enough to want to do a one-off move.
The big companies don't work with individuals, and...

I'm looking into the prospect of buying a machine from ebay.de, Germany.

A heavy sort of thing that weighs 1 or 2 tons.

Does anyone know a company that could do that?
