I went to school in Richmond, hiked all over Reeth/Gunnerside and surroundings, dad lives in Darlington & we used to help run DoE field trips for local schools out...

Northallerton, Lewis & Cooper & the market are big family favourites for me too :).

L&C do the best non-home-made Christmas puds I've encountered, and they travel long distances very well :)!

I remember that :( Lol, now. Not so much back then ;). As country bumpkins, after a brief flare of town prosperity in the early 70s, we fantasised about getting a council house. Seems we didn't miss...

Golly! A whole thread on Yorkshire! I wandered in here from the Canada forums via the TDF thread: not Yorkshire born but grew up in Bingley & near Richmond/Northallerton :) Spent every spare moment...
