$2.70 here in the great Northwest, a lack of local refineries plays a part. Such as zero refineries in Oregon and zero planned in the next 100 years. Same with new refineries in California and...

$2.729 per gallon here (no refineries nearby, no competition). Since I buy gas at 8 or 9 gallons per fill up I am not very much price sensitive.
Will not wait in line for 30 seconds to save 3 cents...

I wont drive across the street to save 5 cents per gallon, hell I am only buying 8 or 9 gallons... either $19.00 or $19.45 for a fill up:confused: Whatever is most convenient.

Steady $2.49 here, has not changed much in a year. The price we pay for having zero refineries in state.

$2.12, with an 11 gallon tank at 35 MPG or so, it doesn't much matter under $3.00 per.

I heard about that. That is the value of having competition among refineries.
In Oregon there is a total of zero refineries and the cheapest gas I have seen is $2.12 per. I'm not complaining,...

Another key point in the price of gas is how many refineries are competing.
It would seem that a lack of competition may play a role

This makes a large difference in prices in the US.
Here is Canada's stats fairly uniform though with Montreal and Quebec SURPRISE! leading the tax parade.

Down just a bit...around $2.30. With the mileage I get 20 to 50 cents per gallon does not matter much. Would not drive across the street and wait in line for 2 minutes to save 3 cents per gallon.

You are fortunate to have a competitive market. Refineries have been a NIMBY issue on the West coast for 30 years. As an example Oregon does not have a single refinery. 140 refineries in the US,...
