Romo, my boyfriend received an email from the CIC on April 12 as well telling him his app was approved.. it changed to DM on ECAS sometime between then and the following Sunday. We are in Alberta...

So I actually think you are not where you need to be.

When you go to cic.gc.ca -
Click
English
Check application status
from that dropdown menu click "sponsorship"

Not permanent residency....

Yeah he did. But I usually logged in in the beginning. I didn't realize he could also log in for at least a couple months, haha. So it might not have worked right away.

When the AOR is emailed/mailed out to the sponsor for the first step of the application...
The AOR has both a UCI number and an application number. I (the sponsor) used the UCI to log in myself, and...

Mine was like that from early November until DM on April 12.. but like Mitchy said every timeline is different!

Hi there!

1. In regards to "medical received" - it just means the London VO has received your medical information (and most likely verified that it was okay)

Hmmm, I do remember a few people doing this before when they were between IEC visas. Ugh I wish there was just a bridging visa from IEC to PR! Would be so much less stress!
