She said I would get all points back and just have to pay 55 + 25 (80 bucks).

So I have a question.

I purchase a ticket with my avios miles in june FOR Xmas. BA. LAX-LHR return.

I called and made sure that IF I cancelled, I would get my money (taxes) back and also points...

Which airports are suitable ones for departing from? LAX...

Ok, I have one for you.
I can get flights with my avios points to London on economy with BA.

I called and actually got hold of someone at BA and asked about flights I saw on American for Business...

However the one thing I have found is when you call British airways and click 2 for avios - it cuts you off every time.

Okay, so it's not as good as I hoped but something.

For April.
Booked BA from GLA to London on points (4500) plus paid $27.50 for taxes and crap.

Then got a ticket today from London to GLA...

I searched several ways (LAX to Heathrow) - what I was finding is that there was a one way ticket - coach only - not on the date I needed. The cost of a one way ticket only...

Thanks. That's a real pain - I have a LOT of points on Avios and although I knew there were some blackout dates - what I have found is ridiculous.

Transferring points to Amex - there was a time...

I have 2 options - Worldpoints or Avios.

tonrob - I have to thank you too. When you posted about the 100K points for a BA card, I signed up and got it.

I also have Amex miles - about 200K.

I'm not sure if you know the answer to this...
