Hi, I went and transfered my license yesterday, the woman behind the desk wasnt very helpfull at all. Told her I'd be driving ambulances would I need to add any other classes, but she just shrugged...

Also on the july intake, have only had hr policies, uniform pdf sent through. Thought we might have got the drug protocols to learn before arriving.

IOM dont allow stopovers on the deals they organise, straight to destination. We're glasgow to dubai, 2hours there then on to perth.

Had the same problem with my references, 1 of them didnt bother...

got my emirates etickets through today, booked through IOM, saved over £1000, so I'd advise anyone who's heading out to perth to contact IOM once you have your visas.

Roll on the 2nd of July!!!

iom is the international organisation for migration, found out about them reading other threads on this website. Thought the prices were to good to be true, but other people on here have booked...

visa granted!!!
Contacted iom about flights, price is over £1000 cheaper than booking direct with emirates! Just shipping to arrange now.

got word from the hospital today, passed medicals. Anyone got any idea how long it usually takes for visa to be granted?

I was the only one to require a medical, chest xray, hiv, hep b, hep c tests. My wife didnt need to have the medical, only the hep b test because she is pregnant and going to require hospital...

cost £420. That included a hep b test for my wife because she is pregnant, which was £42.50.
£190 for a 10min chat with a gp, really wish i had stuck in at school!!!

had my medical for my visa last tuesday, just waiting on final word now. Only problem with it was the expense!

what did the induction course involve? Asked natalie during my vc, but she couldnt tell me. I'm due to start on the july course.

An info would be greatly appreciated.

i got asked 2 or 3 of the same questions from my phone interview during the vc. I actually enjoyed the vc, hated the phone interview. I'm sure if u've made it this far u'll be fine.

Great news, congratulations!!

I'm still waiting to hear the final verdict, will hopefully find out on monday, that'll be 2 weeks after the vc. July was my prefered start date, hope there's space!

just finished the fitness test at ross hall, pretty much as rascal said, squats, one legged squats, press ups, flexibilty tests, and step test. Hardest bit of it was the heat in the room!...
