I can think of a handful of situations, where people might want to act now ( assuming a transfer is the right thing to do in their case).

I think this rather depends on the circumstances. So, leaving the benefits in the UK, in this case, does not mean that the funds are heavily taxed. This is why the UK funds are referred to as exempt...

Since the proposed changes are just that, proposals, no one can state what the rules will be in April ( Unless HMRC have already made up their minds and this " consultation period" is just for show).

You raise a good point. The way I read it that EU rules mean that the UK has to have something like QROPS in place for free movement of capital. Whether HMRC "like" QROPS is another discussion.

I am an IFA, I work offshore and I am not touting for business ( with a name that I have used, I can hardly expect any).
