It is a fact of government policy in this case. Perhaps couples who fall into this category should be required to give 25% of their savings to the government?

So the rich can move to Britain on their bank accounts, and the poor must sell their family home to do so. So the policy favours the rich, regardless of other factors.

Worrying thing is they're only doing this legislation to crawl for votes so their polling must show them this attitude is the prevailing one.

I agree about Labour, they proved that 1997-2010. But an individual could challenge the government, or a group of them.
