The fittings were originally recessed, then converted to hanging lights.
And now the LED's...the light output is fantastic and the fittings integrate very well.

Just bought and installed a bunch of retrofit LED recessed lights from Costco.
Special deal $13.99 instead of $18.99.
10 min installation. Easy peasy.

CFL.

Aren't LED bulbs really expensive? Would be pissed if it burned out early. Are they more robust?

Yes, a good distance from the supply and I have considered fluctuations.
No vibration.
I'll check all the connections over the weekend and look at other bulbs.
