Thanks for the feedback. We can afford it ok so I guess that's the most straightforward. Then I believe it will be 2 x 2.5 year visas before my wife can get citizenship.

Thank you. Looks like we'll be ok with our retirements savings although bummer it now takes five years to gain permanence.
