Re: The truth about winter in Canada.

I believe that's the way it is in a lot of fields. And not just in Canada. You could also do an internship to gain experience. Or look at the lesser paid jobs as a way to gain the experience that...

Re: The truth about winter in Canada.

You're aware that without that post secondary education, you would likely have to spend time on crap money, regardless of where you are? Even with it, it could take time, especially somewhere with a...

Re: The truth about winter in Canada.

I thought you were aspiring to work in a call centre Gozit? Not a lot more than minimum wage doing that, most would struggle. And they're not considered a great place to work. I know I wouldn't want...

Re: The truth about winter in Canada.

Apparently our city has had in excess of 9ft of snow this year... I shoveled most of it so I believe them.

Re: The truth about winter in Canada.

I was the only person not shivering and complaining about the cold today at the bus stop. It's +1, windchill -6. I can only think that the other parents have very short memories.

Re: The truth about winter in Canada.

Sums it up perfectly! This post officially makes more sense to me than approximately 66.67% of the others I have read of late :)

Hubby works in engineering, he had to get all new micrometers and...

Re: The truth about winter in Canada.

This is the first winter I've really had issues to be honest, but my life has also changed and I have a different perspective on it. Until last year, my oldest was at nursery school with a friend's...

Re: The truth about winter in Canada.

Couldn't care less if the car gets dirty. The roads from here to where I needed to get to were not safe to drive today. A lot of it is open farmland and visibility is a huge problem when there's...

Re: The truth about winter in Canada.

I shoveled a good 6" off our laneway today only to find that the roads were too yucky to drive to my midwife appointment anyway. At least the snow fills in the potholes...
