Good thought. When my MIL passed away in Feb it was a good 3 weeks before the funeral.

I would still obtain a copy of the death cert and ask to be sat by yourself. It will be a bonus, honestly.

Which if you don't happen to have that is quite a lot of money.

I flew with Emirates back in 2009. There was no discount for the flight , however they put me where there are just two seats...
