So he read the fine print and it says the date format is DD/MM/YYYY! that settles it - he needs to make a trip by himself to land!

I'm pretty sure you're right, but it seems very coincidental that the application was received by them on 8 Sept 2016. Medicals were done 3 August 2016.

Hopefully someone will have a better...

had request 2 weeks ago for photos and passport copy... posted them on Monday (took longer to walk to post office than it would have to walk to Canada House , but hey...

Our status on background check changed to 'In Progress' on 16 December :)
Nothing further since then though.. fingers crossed its not much longer for decision...

LOL Didn't mean to rub it in! Just that it will take longer than 19 days to get approval for PR.

Am shocked it was so fast, but received notification yesterday that my sponsorship was approved, and the application has been sent to Ottawa!

Now the real wait!
